Meldly Privacy Policy

Meldly helps people manage shared household tasks and memories. This policy explains how Meldly handles information in the iPhone app and its service.

Information we use

When you create an account, we receive your name, email address, and password. We store a hash of your password. When you use Meldly, we store the household name, membership and invitations, and the tasks, memories, dates, assignments, and activity you add or change. We use this information to operate your account and show shared content to members of your household.

Who can see it

Other members of a household you join can see that household's shared content and member names. Our hosting provider processes information to run the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising or third-party analytics.

Storage and security

The app sends account and household information to Meldly's server over HTTPS. It stores your sign-in session in the iPhone Keychain. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and household information while it is needed to provide Meldly. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account. This removes your account and your contributions from the active service. If you are the only member of a household, its data is also deleted. A shared household remains available to its other members. Copies in any existing backups may remain until those backups expire.
